Enjoy the panoramic view of  Samaria Gorge from the most popular mountain refuge in the White Mountains (Kalergis) at an altitude of 1680 m and Agia Irini Gorge from the Observatory in “Gre Leska”.
During our off road adventure to Kalergis Refuge, you will have the chance to enjoy the beauty of nature through forests, small rivers, caves, water sources and vineyards and become more familiar with the animals which live in these unique places. If we are lucky enough, we might meet the kri-kri, the Cretan goat which lives in Crete.
You can also go for a walk through some picturesque villages and buy local products at some traditional grocery stores. 
As we are visiting the Folklore Museum of Azogires and some historical sites, you will be informed about Cretan Culture, Tradition and History.  There will also be a description of how olive oil is produced during our visit to an olive-oil mill (October-April).
Next stop is the Observatory in “Gre Leska” which means "Old Cliff". It is called "heart of Madara" because it is in a perfect location as you can have a panoramic view of both Samaria and Agia Irini Gorges as well as Omalos Plateau.
Take a deep breath and feel the unique aroma of herbs and flowers growing there. 
It is an amazing journey with beautiful landscapes which remind you the scenery of a fairytale.
